# Odyssey by Archetype [**Archetype Co**](https://x.com/archetypecoxyz) is collaborating with [**Aptos Labs**](https://x.com/AptosLabs) to build *Odyssey*, an NFT minting Software Development Kit (SDK). Committed to serving the needs of developers, creatives, launchpads, and marketplaces, *Odyssey* aims to facilitate seamless creation and customization of NFTs, allowing creators to spend their time and resources on ideation and marketing, instead of technical obstacles. Archetype Co has several other products in the pipeline, designed to strengthen the Aptos ecosystem in collaboration with other builders. ## Why Aptos? Launched in 2022, Aptos is **a Layer-1 blockchain with a strong focus on scalability, security, and reliability**. Its unique features, such as the AptosBFT (PoS) consensus mechanism and the Move smart contract programming language, enables parallel execution and delivers a transaction throughput of up to 160,000 TPS. With such high throughput, along with the robust security features, Aptos is one of the best for high-frequency transactions or dApps that require sub-second finality - which makes it one of the most scalable networks now.
